Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]Ga-SB03045 is a gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceutical developed by BC Cancer and the University of British Columbia for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of fibroblast activation protein (FAP)-expressing tumors. It features a (2S,4S)-4-fluoropyrrolidine-2-carbonitrile pharmacophore conjugated to a DOTA chelator, which binds to FAP with high affinity. In preclinical studies, [68Ga]Ga-SB03045 demonstrated high tumor uptake and favorable tumor-to-background contrast in HEK293T:hFAP tumor xenograft models, comparable to the clinically validated [68Ga]Ga-FAPI-04, making it a promising diagnostic agent for FAP-overexpressing cancers.
